In January 2021, Jack Mitchell established SBO Perspectives to stay connected with his peers and provide insight on the multifaceted role of school business officials (SBOs).

Jack (JR) has embarked on a journey to uncover school business professionals' first-hand recounts and experiences across the industry in weekly conversations highlighting current events, challenges, and opportunities surrounding leaders in public education.

SBO Perspectives currently ranks #1 in FeedSpot's Top 20 Public Education Podcasts.

In January 2024, SBO Perspectives rebooted to the 2.0 version with the addition of Tera Van Dyke…

Tera, a fellow SFO, who has over 13 years of experience on the West Coast, has garnered a deep understanding of the complexities of both small and large districts.

The valuable insights she has encountered into the challenges and opportunities faced by Oregon ASBO and her Regional District, presents an intricately novel perspective to the podcast.
